Psychology

The Department of Psychology, which has been operating within the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences since the 2010-2011 academic year, had its first graduates in 2015.

There are two programs in our psychology department. 30% English program does not accept new students, but 2.3 and 4. she has a student in the classroom. Our department has a 100% English education language and has a mandatory foreign language preparatory class for 1 years. The program, which has the language of education, does not have a preparatory class. After 4 years of academic courses, our students who have been successful in preparatory class will have a "degree in Psychology".

In the Department of Psychology, which is becoming more and more popular in the field of Social Sciences, many important theoretical and practical trainings are given in preparation for the profession of psychologist as well as providing students with the skills to conduct academic studies.

Psychology graduates have the opportunity to work both in government institutions, in the private sector and independently. According to the KPSS exam results they will be able to work in the public sector such as;

• In the health sector (hospitals, community health centers, health centers etc.)
• In courts, detention centers and correctional facilities under the Ministry of Justice
• In institutions, nursing homes and projects/units developed in the context of social policy within the Ministry of Family and Social Policies,
• As a teacher after the completion of the guidance research centers and the necessary formation training within the Ministry of National Education,
• There are opportunities to work in the police and various military institutions.
• In the private sector; There are opportunities to work in psychotechnical assessment centers, private psychotherapy and mental health centers, kindergartens, special education and rehabilitation centers, private teaching institutions and private schools, human resources and public relations departments, advertising, marketing and research centers.
• On independent working opportunities; With the recent legal regulations, psychology graduates can work as family counselors, provided that the necessary training is completed.
