In the Undergraduate Psychology Program, the educational process is designed to ensure that students learn the theoretical foundations of psychology, acquire scientific research skills, and develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to support their professional growth. This process is carried out systematically in order to monitor the extent to which program outcomes are achieved and to provide data for continuous improvement efforts.

Within the program, education is structured not only to enhance students’ theoretical knowledge, but also to develop their skills in critical thinking, observation, collecting and interpreting scientific data, acting in accordance with ethical principles, communication, and evaluating psychological processes from a multidimensional perspective.

Within the scope of each course, students are assessed through midterm exams, final exams, quizzes, assignments, presentations, practical studies, field observations, case discussions, and research/project work. Depending on the nature of the course, different and complementary assessment and evaluation tools may be used.

In calculating the final grade for each course, the assessment and evaluation principles specified in the Bologna Information Package for the relevant course are applied. Students’ performance in courses is evaluated from multiple perspectives in line with the course content and learning outcomes.

In order to be eligible to take the final exam, students are required to fulfill the attendance requirements for the course. Attendance conditions and achievement evaluation criteria are implemented within the framework of the university’s associate and undergraduate education and examination regulations.

A letter grading system is applied in the program, and students’ academic performance is evaluated in accordance with the relevant legislation. Assessment and evaluation results are associated with program outcomes; based on the data obtained, course content, teaching methods, and assessment tools are regularly reviewed and updated.
