LABORATORIES
The First and Emergency Aid Program has simulation- and practice-based training environments that support students in transforming their theoretical knowledge into practical skills. The laboratories and practice areas used within this scope enable the effective delivery of courses related to basic and advanced life support, patient assessment, trauma management, emergency intervention techniques, and fundamental healthcare skills.
In line with our practice-oriented educational approach, laboratory studies constitute one of the core components of the program. Students have the opportunity to reinforce the knowledge acquired in theoretical courses through hands-on practice and to improve their professional competencies.
Emergency Intervention and Simulation Areas
The practice areas included in the program support students in becoming familiar with pre-hospital emergency medical service processes and in developing their professional skills. In these environments, students can perform practices related to scene management, patient assessment, basic and advanced life support, trauma interventions, patient handling and transportation techniques, and teamwork.
In addition, students receive ambulance training and in-ambulance practice within the program. Through this training, students gain hands-on experience in ambulance equipment recognition and use, patient transfer processes, emergency management, in-ambulance patient care practices, and safe driving principles.
Through laboratory and practical training, it is aimed to develop students’ attention, rapid decision-making, manual skills, teamwork adaptation, and problem-solving abilities. These environments are also actively used for skill development and pre-clinical/field preparation in addition to course applications.
The infrastructure of the practice areas is organized to support educational activities and to provide a learning environment where students can adapt to current practices in emergency medical services.
The program’s practice areas are structured to enhance students’ professional skills, reinforce their theoretical knowledge, and prepare them as well-equipped individuals for emergency healthcare environments after graduation.
