Laboratories

In our Software Engineering Department, there are two modern software laboratories (Room No: 209-210) designed to support students in transforming their theoretical knowledge into practical skills. These laboratories are equipped with up-to-date hardware infrastructure and widely used industry software tools, and they are structured to enable both individual and team-based work.

In our laboratories, practical training is delivered across a wide range of topics, from programming fundamentals to advanced software development processes. Within this scope, students gain hands-on experience in areas such as algorithm development, data structures, object-oriented programming, web and mobile application development, database management, artificial intelligence applications, and software testing processes. In addition, industry-focused topics such as the software development life cycle, version control systems (Git), team collaboration tools, and agile methodologies are also covered through laboratory activities.

The laboratory environment is structured to enable students to produce solutions to real-world problems through a project-based learning approach. In addition to course-based applications, capstone projects, group work, and research activities are also supported in these environments.

Furthermore, the software and hardware infrastructure used in our laboratories is regularly updated to keep up with technological developments, ensuring that students have the opportunity to work with the most up-to-date tools and platforms. Care is taken to provide an ergonomic, accessible, and technically sufficient working environment to ensure an efficient and comfortable learning experience.

Through this comprehensive laboratory infrastructure, our department aims to build a strong bridge between theoretical knowledge and practical application, enhance students’ professional competencies, and prepare them as individuals ready for the software industry.
