Food Technology

The Food Technology Program is an associate degree program that provides 2-year education under the Food Processing Department of the Vocational School.

It started its activities by taking its first students in the 2019-2020 academic year. The language of education is Turkish.

OUR PURPOSE

Having knowledge and skills in food science and technology to meet the needs of the food industry; in the stages of healthy production, preservation, packaging, storage and serving of foodstuffs; To train food technicians who can work as intermediate staff in food quality control laboratories and services.

GRADE EARNED

Students who graduate by taking theoretical and applied courses are given an “associate degree diploma” and those who have this diploma can work as a "Food Technician".

WORKING AREAS

- Public institutions and organizations (Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Food Control Laboratory Directorates, Hospital Kitchens, Municipalities, Provincial Health Directorates

- Private food laboratories

- Food quality control centers

- Production departments, quality control units and laboratories of the factories where food products are processed, stored and packaged in the private sector.
