History of the Program

The First and Emergency Aid Program at Toros University was established in the 2014–2015 academic year to meet the increasing demand for qualified emergency healthcare personnel and commenced its academic activities in the same year.

Since its establishment, the program has aimed to train healthcare technicians who can work in pre-hospital emergency medical services, respond rapidly and effectively at the scene, make accurate decisions in emergency situations, and actively participate as members of multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Over time, the curriculum has been updated in line with advancements in emergency medical services and technological innovations, evolving into a structure that emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical training.

In addition, the program continues its activities within the Vocational School of Health Services in parallel with developments in the university’s academic structure, aiming to enhance the quality of education, expand practical training opportunities, and strengthen collaboration with the healthcare sector.

In brief, the history of the program represents a dynamic educational process that began with its establishment in 2014 and has continued to evolve in response to the changing needs of emergency healthcare services.
