The Department of Psychology within the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences at Toros University began its academic activities in the 2010–2011 academic year and graduated its first students in 2015. Since its establishment, our department has aimed to provide students with the fundamental theoretical and applied dimensions of psychology through a holistic approach to education.
By the decision of the Executive Board of Higher Education dated 02.04.2021, the language of instruction of the Psychology program within the Faculty, which had previously been 30% English, was changed to Turkish as of the 2021–2022 academic year. In addition, by the decision of the Executive Board of Higher Education dated 28.04.2021, a Psychology program with 100% English as the language of instruction was established, also effective from the 2021–2022 academic year.
Today, our department offers two different program structures: one in Turkish and the other fully in English. In line with changing academic and societal needs, our department continuously improves its educational activities and continues to prepare students for both professional practice and academic study.
