To train qualified translators who are primarily preferred on national and international platforms, possessing a contemporary worldview and embracing universal values, capable of analytical and critical thinking, having the ability to understand, interpret, and analyze the world, loving to read and learn and open to self-improvement, possessing strong communication skills, eager to research, participatory and collaborative, able to adapt to the requirements of the era, highly proficient in English and Turkish and mastering the cultural foundations of both languages, able to integrate theoretical knowledge of translation studies and linguistics with applied translation skills, capable of translating effectively in fields such as international relations, law, literature, economics, social sciences, and technical subjects within the framework of scientific methods, possessing the necessary terminology knowledge and translation skills, able to use translation technologies effectively, and mastering professional ethical rules and applying the necessary regulations.

To be one of the competent departments providing education in the field of translation and translation studies in Turkey and at the international level, with its experienced and scientifically qualified teaching staff, comprehensive program, and the strong infrastructural support of our university; to be a research unit closely related to and having strong ties with the national and international scientific world; to be an effective educational unit capable of providing the translation world with professionals who possess terminology and specialized field knowledge, are experts in intercultural communication, have advanced translation competence, and can both conduct academic studies and adopt translation as a profession; and to be a pioneering department that contributes to the realization of multifaceted academic studies in the fields of translation, language, and culture, and to the development of our country as well as the scientific world.
