Decision-Making Processes and External Stakeholder Involvement
In the Physiotherapy Program, the planning and updating of educational activities and the implementation of quality assurance processes are carried out based on a participatory management approach and a continuous improvement philosophy. The program management and relevant academic units play an active role in decision-making processes, and external stakeholder feedback is also utilized to ensure the program remains up to date and aligned with the healthcare sector.
In this context, external stakeholders contributing to the program include physiotherapy and rehabilitation units of public and private hospitals, physiotherapists, healthcare professionals working in rehabilitation fields, alumni, and experts with field experience.
External Stakeholder Participation, Documentation, and Impact on the Program
Feedback and evaluations obtained from external stakeholders are systematically addressed through meetings, field visits, and feedback mechanisms conducted to improve the educational processes of the program. These inputs are analyzed in line with program needs, and when necessary, improvements are made to course contents, practical training processes, and the overall program structure.
In this context, particular attention is given to:
- Current approaches and techniques in rehabilitation practices,
- Professional skills and competencies required in healthcare services,
- Situations encountered by students during clinical practice and internships,
- Experiences and feedback from graduates in professional practice,
Based on the feedback obtained, the program content is regularly reviewed. Improvements are made to strengthen students’ professional competencies by increasing the practical emphasis in areas such as assessment and evaluation, exercise applications, clinical decision-making processes, patient safety, and ethical practice.
Through this approach, our program aims to train physiotherapy technicians who are adaptable to the evolving needs of the healthcare sector, possess strong practical skills, demonstrate ethical responsibility, and are committed to continuous professional development.
