The Operating Room Services Program includes a mandatory internship to enable students to develop their professional knowledge and skills in a practical environment.
As part of the Professional Practice course in our program, students complete a mandatory 70-day internship in the 4th semester, which is the spring semester of the 2nd year. This practice aims to familiarize students with the healthcare field, particularly operating room processes, before graduation, to gain professional experience, and to develop their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. During the internship, students have the opportunity to observe and participate in work processes in the operating rooms of public and private healthcare institutions, focusing on areas such as sterile working environments, surgical equipment preparation, pre- and post-operative procedures, patient safety, and infection control, thereby improving their professional competencies. Internship activities are conducted within the framework of the Vocational School's internship committee and relevant legislation.
The internship application process, evaluation criteria, required documents, and internship writing rules are determined within the scope of the relevant internship guidelines.
