Advisory Faculty Members

Here is the English translation:

Academic advisors in higher education institutions constitute one of the key elements that closely monitor students' academic processes and provide them with guidance. Academic staff members assigned as advisors at the beginning of each academic year offer one-on-one support to students on matters such as registration, course selection, graduation requirements, and academic performance.

Advisors do not merely carry out bureaucratic procedures; they also observe students' motivation, attendance status, and overall adaptation process, reporting to department management when necessary. In this way, problems can be identified and resolved at an early stage.

From a quality assurance perspective, the academic advisory system constitutes an important component of institutional accountability. The effectiveness of student support services is also directly included in institutional quality assessments under the criteria of the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK). A regular and well-documented advisory process increases student satisfaction, positively influences academic achievement rates, and contributes to institutional accreditation processes.

For this reason, advisor appointments should be regarded not merely as an administrative requirement, but as a strategic investment in the sustainability of educational quality.
