Toros University, in accordance with Article 1 of the Law No. 5913 on the Amendment of the Law on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions, adopted by the Grand National Assembly on 23.06.2009, published in the Official Gazette No. 27281 dated 07.07.2009, Organization of Higher Education Institutions dated 28.03.1983 and numbered 2809. The School of Health Sciences was established by the Mersin Education Foundation with the Additional Article 111 of the Law, and was accepted by the Presidential Decision of the Executive and Administrative Department No. In accordance with the Supplementary Articles 30 and 158 of the Law No. 2809 on the Higher Education Organization, and the Supplementary 39 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, our School has been designated as Faculty of Health Sciences. has undergone changes.

Our Faculty started accepting students in 2014, Department of Health Management, Department of Nursing and Health Services in 2015, and Department of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2018, among the programs opened for the development of health services under the roof of the School of Health Sciences (SBYO). Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department has also been added. The Department of Nursing and Health Services has undergone a name change as the Department of Nursing in the Spring Term of the 2019-2020 Academic Year.

Our faculty continued to provide education and training services to students in 3 departments in the 2017-2018 academic year under the roof of the School of Health Sciences (SBYO), and it was recommended to admit students to the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation department in the 2020-2021 academic year.
