Message From The Dean

My dear students,

I congratulate you for choosing our Faculty of Health Sciences, where you will carry the pride of being a student at Toros University for a lifetime from now on. Welcome aboard!

Toros University Faculty of Health Sciences is a young faculty that includes four different disciplines consisting of Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics and Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

There are 2 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 9 Doctoral Faculty Members and 5 Research Assistants in our faculty, a total of 20 teaching staff and 2 administrative staff, and education continues actively in all our departments.

The departments within our faculty are very important, each of which makes different contributions to human health in its own field.

As long as people's health needs continue, health professions will maintain their importance and existence.

In addition to their fields, our students also benefit from double major and minor programs among our departments, and there are requests from both our faculty students and other departments of our university to increase the quota for double major and minor programs.

There are mentoring and intern practices that we have put into practice in our departments and that contribute greatly to the professional development of our students. In the mentoring application, our students are provided with the opportunity to come together with colleagues who will guide them. With the internship application, our senior students continue their education only in places related to their fields for a year or for a semester, and they have the opportunity to work every day like a graduate in their field of application before they graduate. Thus, they gain a very good professional experience. Many of our students, who have proven their success in the process of intern applications, receive commendable feedback from the relevant institutions. Our graduates are given the opportunity to start work in various institutions in a very short time.

Health science graduates work to protect and strengthen the life of the society/patients throughout their professional lives, as a requirement of their professional ethics education. Especially during the covid-19 epidemic, the importance of health professions has emerged once again.

Our main goal is to raise you young as fully-equipped healthcare professionals who are sensitive to society and social problems, inquisitive, respectful of ethical rules, and open to scientific innovations.

In addition to the contributions of our university in reaching this goal, the fact that you and your families pursue the same goal and interact with us will be one of the most important factors of success.
