The Medical Imaging Techniques Program is a two-year associate degree program designed to train qualified healthcare professionals who contribute to the accurate and timely diagnosis of diseases. Within the scope of the program, students gain the skills to perform radiological examinations requested by physicians using appropriate imaging protocols, manage patient flow according to priority, and ensure the efficient operation of imaging processes. As an essential component of early diagnosis and treatment, medical imaging plays a critical role in modern healthcare services.

The language of instruction is Turkish. During the first two semesters, students take both foundational and field-specific courses. These include subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Radiological Imaging, Radiation Safety, and Medical Terminology, which provide a strong professional foundation. In the third semester, students are introduced to more advanced imaging techniques and specialized courses. In the final semester, they complete a Professional Practice (internship) course within the 3+1 education model, gaining hands-on experience in real healthcare settings.

Graduates who successfully complete the program are awarded an associate degree and the title of “Medical Imaging Technician.” They have broad employment opportunities within the healthcare sector, working in units such as X-ray (conventional radiography), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiotherapy. Employment opportunities are available in public hospitals, university hospitals, private hospitals, and medical imaging centers. Additionally, graduates may be appointed to public institutions through the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS).

This program aims to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing them to become competent and well-qualified healthcare professionals.
