The assessment and evaluation process in the Medical Imaging Techniques Program aims to evaluate students’ knowledge, skills, and professional competencies in an objective, transparent, and multidimensional manner. This process is carried out systematically to monitor the level of achievement of program outcomes and to provide data for continuous improvement efforts.

Within the program, assessment and evaluation are structured to cover not only students’ theoretical knowledge but also their practical competencies, including radiological imaging applications, radiation safety, patient preparation and positioning, operation of imaging equipment, and teamwork skills.

In each course, students are evaluated through midterm exams, final exams, quizzes, assignments, laboratory and practical studies, skill assessments, clinical practices, and case-based evaluations. Depending on the nature of the course, different and complementary assessment methods may be employed.

When calculating the final grade for each course, the weightings specified in the Bologna Information Package for the relevant course are taken as the basis.

In order to be eligible to take the final exam, students are required to meet the attendance requirements specified in the relevant regulations. Attendance is particularly important in practical and clinical courses.

A letter grading system is applied in the program. Grades of AA, BA, BB, CB, and CC are considered successful, while DC and DD are considered conditionally successful. In order for a student to pass a course with a DC or DD grade, their cumulative grade point average (CGPA) must be at least 2.00.

Assessment and evaluation results are associated with program outcomes, and based on the data obtained, course content, teaching methods, and practical processes are regularly reviewed and updated. In this way, continuous improvement of the program’s educational quality is ensured.
