Quality And Management

Quality and Management structure is an integrated system that ensures the planning, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement of educational activities within the Mechatronics Program.

This structure is based on stakeholder participation, data-driven evaluation, transparent decision-making processes, and a continuous improvement approach. All processes are carried out in accordance with the university’s quality assurance system.

The program’s quality management process is structured under the following headings:

Advisory Board Process

The Advisory Board is composed of internal and external stakeholders. Within this board, feedback and suggestions regarding the development of the program are collected and evaluated systematically.

Following the meetings, an Advisory Board Report is prepared, highlighting the strengths of the program and areas for improvement.

The collected recommendations are evaluated at the departmental level, and appropriate actions are submitted to higher management through a Department Board decision for inclusion in improvement processes.

Student Advising Process

Regular Student Advising meetings are conducted within the program. Before these meetings, class representatives collect students’ opinions and suggestions to contribute to the process.

The collected feedback is discussed during advising meetings, and a Student Advising Report is prepared. This report reflects students’ academic and administrative needs.

The prepared report is submitted to higher management through a Department Board decision and included in continuous improvement activities.

Survey Processes

Various surveys are conducted regularly to collect feedback from students, graduates, and employers:

  • Course and Instructor Evaluation Survey
  • Employer Internship/Practical Training Evaluation Survey
  • Student Internship/Practical Training Evaluation Survey
  • New Graduate Program Evaluation Survey
  • Alumni Survey
  • Employer Survey for Graduates

Survey results are analyzed and reported. If the average score falls below the threshold value of 3.10, the relevant area is considered an “area for improvement,” and an action plan is developed.

All survey reports are submitted to higher management through a Department Board decision and integrated into quality improvement processes.

Course Report Process

At the end of each semester, course evaluation reports are prepared for every course. These reports include course delivery, student achievement levels, assessment results, and student feedback.

Within these reports, Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), Program Outcomes (POs), exam performance, and survey results are analyzed to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Based on this analysis, improvement actions and action plans are developed.

All course reports are consolidated into a Program Evaluation Report, which is submitted to higher management through a Department Board decision as part of the quality assurance and continuous improvement process.
