Within the scope of the First and Emergency Aid Program, there is a compulsory internship designed to enable students to develop their professional knowledge and skills in a practical setting.

As part of the Professional Practice course in our program, students are required to complete a compulsory 70 working days of professional practice training in the 4th semester, which corresponds to the spring term of the second year. This training aims to ensure that students become familiar with emergency medical services, gain competence in pre-hospital emergency care processes, acquire professional experience, and reinforce their theoretical knowledge through practical application before graduation.

During the professional practice period, students have the opportunity to observe workflows on-site, participate in practices, and improve their professional competencies in public hospitals, 112 emergency medical service stations, and private healthcare institutions. These practices include scene management, patient assessment, basic and advanced life support applications, patient transportation and transfer processes, emergency intervention protocols, and teamwork.

Internship activities are carried out in accordance with the regulations and under the supervision of the Vocational School Internship Commission.

The application process for professional practice, evaluation criteria, required documents, and report writing guidelines are defined within the relevant Professional Practice Directive.
