The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is equipped with modern laboratory infrastructure to enable students to transform their theoretical knowledge into practical applications. Our laboratories support undergraduate education in the areas of electrical machines, circuits, electronics, digital systems, control systems, and computer applications.

In line with our practice-oriented educational approach, laboratory studies constitute an essential component of the program.

Basic Physics Laboratory

The Basic Physics Laboratory is the experimental environment where the practical components of the Basic Physics Laboratory I and II courses, offered in the early years of the undergraduate program, are conducted. In this laboratory, students investigate principles of mechanics, electricity, and fundamental physics through experimental methods and develop their measurement and data analysis skills.

Laboratory studies include learning measurement techniques, designing experiments, performing error analysis, and interpreting experimental results. Through these activities, students acquire the experimental foundation required for the advanced stages of their engineering education.

Main equipment available in the laboratory includes:

  • Air tables

  • Basic electrical experiment sets

  • Measurement and data acquisition equipment

  • Experimental modules and auxiliary measuring instruments

Electrical Machines Laboratory

The main purpose of the electrical machinery laboratory is to enable undergraduate students to practice the Electromechanical Energy Cycle Laboratory course.

Laboratories

Main equipment available in the laboratory includes:

  • Induction and synchronous machines

  • DC machines

  • Single-phase and three-phase transformer systems

  • Industrial control modules

  • Adjustable AC/DC power supplies

Electrical Circuits and Electronics Laboratory

The Electrical Circuits and Electronics Laboratory is the primary experimental environment where the practical components of the Electrical Circuits Laboratory I–II and Electronics Laboratory I–II courses are conducted. In this laboratory, students experimentally analyze direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) circuits, and develop skills in circuit construction, measurement, and result evaluation.

Within the scope of electronics experiments, semiconductor circuits, diode and transistor applications, amplifier circuits, and basic analog electronic designs are carried out. Laboratory studies aim to reinforce students’ theoretical knowledge through practical applications and to enhance their measurement and analysis competencies.

Main equipment available in the laboratory includes:

  • Adjustable DC and AC power supplies

  • Signal generators

  • Analog and digital oscilloscopes

  • Multimeters and basic measuring instruments

  • Experimental sets and circuit assembly modules

Laboratory Responsibles: Asst. Prof. Dr. Cevher AK

Digital  Laboratory

The Digital and Control Laboratory provides an application environment where undergraduate students can experimentally study digital systems, logic circuits, and fundamental control applications. Within the scope of the Digital Systems and Design Laboratory courses, theoretical concepts are implemented on hardware platforms.

During laboratory studies, students perform combinational and sequential circuit design, digital logic applications, timing analysis, and fundamental control principles experimentally. This process contributes to the development of students’ design, testing, and debugging skills.

Laboratories

Main equipment available in the laboratory includes:

  • Digital application and training sets

  • Logic gate modules

  • Flip-flop and counter circuits

  • Timer and frequency generation modules

  • Basic control and experimental modules

  • Measurement and testing equipment

Laboratory Responsibles:

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Emre KANKAYA

Computer Lab

There are a total of four computer laboratories at our university. These laboratories are equipped with the necessary hardware and software infrastructure to enable undergraduate students to carry out programming, engineering software applications, and computer-aided design activities.

The computer laboratories support the practical components of courses such as Introduction to Programming, Advanced Programming, C/C++, C#, Java Programming, Technical Drawing, Computer-Aided Circuit Analysis, and Computer-Aided Electrical Installation. In this environment, students can individually perform algorithm development, software design, simulation, technical drawing, and analysis applications.

In addition to practical courses, the laboratories are also used for project work and technical software development activities.

Main equipment available in the laboratory includes:
