Our Faculty was established under the name of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, affiliated with the Rectorate of Toros University, a foundation university with public legal personality, founded by the Mersin Education Foundation and subject to the provisions of Higher Education Law No. 2547 concerning foundation higher education institutions pursuant to Additional Article 111, which was added to the Higher Education Institutions Organization Law No. 2809 of 28.03.1983 by Article 1 of Law No. 5913 on Amendments to the Higher Education Institutions Organization Law, published in the Official Gazette No. 27281 on 07.07.2009.
Within this framework, the Department of Business Administration was established within the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences by the decision of the Higher Education Executive Board. Initially conducted entirely in English since its establishment, the language of instruction of our department was changed to Turkish by the decision dated 29.06.2022, taking into consideration the importance of education in the native language, and the department began admitting students under Turkish-medium instruction as of the 2022-2023 academic year.
