Introduction

The Department of Business Administration at Toros University is an undergraduate program that combines strong theoretical foundations with an application-oriented educational approach, aiming to train business professionals capable of adapting to the rapidly changing conditions of the business world. Our department seeks to educate innovative and entrepreneurial individuals who can think analytically, identify and analyze business problems, and generate strategic decisions.

An active learning approach is adopted throughout the educational process; through applied courses, case studies, and project-based learning activities, students are enabled to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-world problems. Through the courses offered in the department, students experience business functions, decision-making processes, financial analysis, marketing strategy, human resources management, and strategic planning within the framework of a holistic management study.

The 7+1 education system and the 70-day internship program implemented within the scope of the curriculum allow students to establish direct contact with the industry and to experience professional business processes. Our students may participate in the internship program at national and international institutions of their choice, as well as benefit from the protocols signed between our department and industry representatives. Through this structure, we aim to strengthen the professional competencies of our graduates and prepare them as individuals ready for professional life.

Our department provides education in core business disciplines such as management and organization, accounting, finance, marketing, human resources management, production management, strategic management, and entrepreneurship. Through a rich pool of elective courses, students are able to distinguish themselves in their areas of interest and acquire interdisciplinary competencies through double major and minor programs. Within the scope of the Erasmus exchange program, our students also have the opportunity to gain international experience.

Established in 2009, our department has been admitting students since the 2010-2011 academic year and produced its first graduates in 2015. Although the language of instruction was English since its establishment, by the decision dated 29.06.2022, our department began admitting students under Turkish-medium instruction as of the 2022-2023 academic year. Our department carries out its educational, research, and community service activities with a commitment to continuous improvement. In line with our academic staff and quality-oriented management approach, we prepare our students both for qualified positions in the private and public sectors and for graduate-level academic studies.
