The planning, execution, and continuous improvement of educational activities in our department are structured in accordance with the principles of transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision-making. Our management approach is based on a holistic governance model that encourages the active participation not only of internal academic bodies, but also of various components of the business ecosystem. Within this scope, decision-making processes are carried out under the coordination of internal stakeholders such as the Department Board and the Quality Commission, while external stakeholder contributions are systematically evaluated as strategic inputs.
The Department Advisory Board has a dynamic structure composed of executives from private sector companies, finance and accounting specialists, human resources and marketing professionals, entrepreneurs, representatives of public institutions, and our alumni. This board functions as a consultative and guiding body that aims not only to evaluate the current situation but also to develop future-oriented projections.
Advisory Board Processes and Strategic Contributions: Our Advisory Board meets at regular intervals, at least once a year; when deemed necessary, the process is supported by online meetings and focus group discussions. Prior to meetings, structured feedback (surveys, sector analyses, alumni tracking data, etc.) is collected from stakeholders, and the agenda is formulated in light of these data. Meeting outcomes are recorded in detailed reports, shared with the relevant academic units, and integrated into the quality assurance system.
In these processes, particular attention is given to:
- New paradigms and management approaches emerging in the business world (e.g., digital transformation, sustainable business practices, data-driven decision-making, strategic human resources management),
- Management tools and applications widely used in the sector (digital marketing tools, business analytics),
- Professional, analytical, and communication-based competency requirements that our graduates encounter in their working lives,
- Ethics, corporate responsibility, and sustainability issues in business practices.
These topics are addressed in a multidimensional manner.
The comprehensive feedback obtained is analyzed by the Department Education Commission using both quantitative and qualitative methods and is transformed into decision support mechanisms. In line with these analyses, not only are content updates made to the curriculum, but practice-oriented innovations such as case-based learning, interdisciplinary studies, industry collaborations, internship and mentorship models are also implemented. Furthermore, the elective course pool is continuously updated within a flexible structure that can adapt to the rapidly changing business world agenda.
In addition, short-cycle evaluation mechanisms inspired by the Agile management approach are also implemented in our department; course-based feedback, student satisfaction surveys, and faculty evaluations are regularly monitored. In this way, decision-making processes are not limited to annual evaluations but also allow for periodic and real-time improvements.
Thanks to this multi-layered and participatory structure, our program sustainably ensures its goal of educating business professionals who can rapidly adapt to the changing business world, embrace lifelong learning, are aware of their ethical responsibilities, and are capable of competing on a global scale.
