Institutional Services and Resources Provided to Our Students
As the Toros University Department of Business Administration, we support our students' academic and professional development through our institution's strong infrastructure and financial resources. The main services and opportunities offered to our students through our institutional mechanisms are as follows:
1. Internship, Applied Business Training, and Industry Support
Various institutional facilities are provided to our students in order to support the practice-oriented educational structure of our department:
- Pre-arranged Internship and Applied Business Placements: Our students are supported through industry collaborations coordinated by the Dean's Office, the Career Center, and our Department Head's Office. In particular, pre-arranged internship placements are provided to our students through bilateral protocols signed with private sector enterprises, financial institutions, banks, audit and consultancy firms, and public institutions in our region.
- Insurance and Coverage: The "Occupational Accident and Occupational Disease Insurance Premiums" of all our students participating in applied business training (70 working days) and summer internships are covered by our university's Financial Affairs and Student Affairs units as a legal obligation and an institutional service.
2. Field Observation and Technical Trip Opportunities
- Transportation and Logistics Support: Technical trips are organized to enable our Business Administration students to observe their theoretical knowledge in the field and examine business processes on-site. Vehicle and logistics support for these trips is provided by the Toros University Department of Health, Culture, and Sports (SKS).
3. Career Planning and Internationalization Services
- Career Days and Counseling: Our students are brought together with business professionals through Career Days organized annually by the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences. In addition, one-on-one career counseling support is provided by our faculty members through "yetenekkapisi.gov.tr," and the "Career Planning" course is included in the compulsory curriculum for our first-year students.
- Erasmus and Exchange Programs: Through frequent meetings and events organized by our International Relations Office, our students are encouraged and informed about participating in international mobility programs (Erasmus).
4. Library, Study Areas, and Information Technology Infrastructure
- 24/7 Uninterrupted Access: Our students can use the library's physical facilities 24/7 and benefit from borrowing services with their university ID cards.
- Hardware and Electronic Resources: Computers allocated for our students' academic work are available in the library's reading hall. All our students can easily access printed resources and international academic databases through the library's QR code system or online automation platform.
5. Accessible Campus and Inclusive Education Support
The academic and physical needs of our disadvantaged students are institutionally secured through the Toros University Disabled Students Unit:
- Physical Infrastructure: Our campus buildings feature elevators, accessibility ramps, and dedicated walkways.
- Educational Material Support: For our visually impaired students, audio descriptions of visual materials used in classes are provided by faculty members, and audio recording of lectures is permitted.
