The Department of Architecture was established in 2012 under the Faculty of Fine Arts at Toros University and began its educational activities by admitting its first students in the 2012–2013 academic year. The name of the faculty was changed to the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture by the Council of Ministers Decision No. 2016/8700, published in the Official Gazette dated April 8, 2016 and numbered 29678. In line with its founding objectives, the 4-year undergraduate program provides architecture candidates with comprehensive education ranging from basic to advanced levels, covering all aspects of the architectural profession. Graduates of the Department of Architecture are awarded the title of Architect.

Between the 2020–2021 and 2025–2026 academic years, a total of 131 students have graduated from the Department of Architecture. Graduates of the department are employed in various institutions and organizations, including municipal planning and public works departments, construction sites, building inspection companies, architectural offices, and public institutions affiliated with ministries such as the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, working in different roles and positions.

The Architecture Department curriculum was updated in the 2024–2025 academic year in line with the feedback of the advisory board; course contents, workloads, and ECTS credits were reorganized within the framework of the Bologna System.
