The assessment and evaluation process in the Architecture Undergraduate Program aims to evaluate students’ knowledge, skills, and design competencies in an objective, transparent, and multi-dimensional manner. This process is systematically conducted to monitor the achievement level of program outcomes and to provide data for continuous improvement activities.

Within the program, assessment and evaluation are structured to cover not only students’ theoretical knowledge but also their design skills, creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, spatial analysis, and practical competencies.

Within each course, students are evaluated through midterm examinations, final examinations, assignments, project work, studio practices, and jury assessments. Depending on the nature of the course, different and complementary assessment tools may be used.

When calculating the final grade of each course, the percentages specified in the Bologna Information Package of the relevant course are applied. It is required that students obtain at least 45 points from the final examination of each course.

In order to be eligible to take the final examination, students must attend at least 70% of theoretical courses and at least 80% of applied courses.

A letter grading system is used in the program. Grades AA, BA, BB, CB, and CC are considered successful, while DC and DD are considered conditionally successful. In order for a student to be considered successful in a course with a DC or DD grade, the cumulative grade point average must be at least 2.00.

Assessment and evaluation results are associated with program outcomes, and based on the obtained data, course contents, teaching methods, and assessment tools are regularly reviewed and updated.
