LABORATORYS / PRACTICE AREAS
The Child Development Program provides observation- and practice-based learning environments that enable students to transform their theoretical knowledge into practical skills. Within this scope, classrooms, a drama workshop, and affiliated institutions support the effective delivery of courses such as play activities, material development, observation techniques, and early childhood education.
In line with our practice-oriented educational approach, laboratory and workshop activities constitute one of the core components of the program. Students are given the opportunity to enhance their professional competencies by reinforcing the theoretical knowledge they acquire in courses through hands-on practice.
Practice and Workshop Areas
The practice areas within the program help students become familiar with early childhood education settings and develop their professional skills. In these areas, students carry out activities such as planning and implementing age-appropriate learning experiences, preparing play-based educational activities, designing educational materials, conducting child observations, and assessing developmental domains.
The infrastructure of the practice areas is designed to support the teaching and learning process and provides an environment where students can adapt to current approaches in early childhood education.
Overall, the program’s practice areas are structured to help students strengthen their professional skills, consolidate theoretical knowledge, and graduate as well-prepared individuals ready to contribute to the field of child development and early childhood education.
