Ali ÖZVEREN, who started his duty on the Board of Trustees of Toros University on 21.06.2009, completed the Sociology Department of Istanbul University Faculty of Literature in 1971. He worked as the Deputy Director of Private İçel High School and a sociology teacher, philosophy teacher at Toros College, director of Toros College, and General Manager of Toros Schools. He is the founder and chairman of the Mersin Education Foundation.
He received awards from TEMA Foundation, MEB Private Education Institutions, Mersin Governorship, İçel ME Directorate, Association for Supporting Contemporary Life, Mersin Lions Club and Mersin Rotary Club.
He is a member of Turkish Teachers' Association (TÜBDER), Mersin Lions Club, Hacı Bektaş Veli Culture Association, Mersin Clean Society Association, European Union Association, Kemalist Thought Association, Contemporary Life Support Association, TEMA Foundation, Educational Volunteers Association.
