The Department of International Trade and Logistics, established within the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, has been continuing its activities since the academic year of 2010 - 2011.
In our department, where Turkish is the language of education, students can improve their English skills by attending a preparatory class tailored to their needs. Our students who come directly to our department or after successfully completing the prep class will be able to enhance the English education they will need in their professional lifetime with the English and vocational English courses they will take in the department every semester. Our successful students will have a "Bachelor's Degree in International Trade and Logistics" after completing the academic courses they will study over their four years in the department.
Our students are taught an internationally recognized program, with a course structure created in accordance with workshops held by the Turkish Logistics Association (LODER). Furthermore, the selected courses and programs are arranged in a fashion that is equal to internationally recognized universities in the United States and Europe. In addition to cultural classes, the programme covers courses that are required by the labor market and require vocational training. In addition, our students receive 7+1 system education in order to obtain professional experience. As a result, our students who succeed in the courses they will take over the next seven semesters are invited to apply for a 70-day internship in their eighth and final semesters. Our students will be able to engage in internships at international and national institutions of their choice, or they will be able to complete internships using protocols agreed between our department and sector representatives in accordance with their needs.
Students enrolled in the Department of International Trade and Logistics get practical training in a variety of fields required by the business world, as well as theoretical instruction at the level required to perform academic studies and research. Education is provided with a pragmatic approach, with the goal of raising individuals who learn by thinking rather than rote, who make a difference, and who have entrepreneurial abilities.
Graduates of the Department of International Trade and Logistics can participate in all financial and administrative activities relating to domestic and overseas trade, as well as find employment in all departments of transportation, accounting, and finance, as well as allied disciplines.
