Within the scope of the Oral and Dental Health Program, there is a professional practice to ensure that students develop their professional knowledge and skills in a practical environment.
In the program, students have the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they have gained during their education in real working environments, develop their professional competencies, and observe the health service delivery processes on-site.
As part of the professional practice, students receive practical training for a specified period in healthcare institutions operating in the public or private sector (dental hospitals, oral and dental health centers, and dental clinics). In this process, students participate in professional practices such as patient admission processes, clinical preparation, infection control, sterilization practices, and dental assistant duties.
Professional practices are conducted within the framework of relevant regulations and program guidelines, and it is essential that students perform their duties in accordance with professional ethical principles.
The professional practice application process, evaluation criteria, required documents, and implementation principles are carried out within the framework of the guidelines determined by the relevant unit.
