ORGANIZATION AND DECISION-MAKING PROCESS
Decision-Making Processes and External Stakeholder Participation
In the Oral and Dental Health Program, the planning, updating, and quality assurance processes of educational activities are carried out in accordance with the principles of "participatory management" and "continuous improvement". The Program/Department Board is at the center of the decision-making mechanisms, and external stakeholder feedback is integrated into the processes to ensure the professional relevance and sectoral compatibility of the program. In this context, the program's advisory mechanism consists of representatives of institutions operating in the health sector, experts working in the field of dentistry, professionals working in oral and dental health centers, and graduates of the program.
Advisory Board Operation, Record Keeping and Impact on Program Development
The Advisory Board meets at least once a year with an official agenda under the coordination of the Program Directorate. In order to ensure transparency and traceability in the meeting processes, all agenda items discussed and decisions taken are recorded in minutes and submitted to the relevant unit management and integrated into the program's quality assurance system. In these meetings; Current practices in the field of oral and dental health, developments in healthcare services, needs encountered in clinical processes, and the experiences of graduates in their professional lives are evaluated.
Feedback obtained from the Advisory Board is analyzed by the program coordination and reported to the relevant academic units, and reflected in the curriculum and application processes when deemed necessary. In this context, updates are made in areas such as strengthening clinical application skills, infection control, sterilization techniques, and patient safety. Thanks to this systematic approach, our program ensures its goal of training oral and dental health technicians who are sensitive to the needs of the health sector, follow current practices, and have high professional competence.
