What is the Erasmus+ Program?

Erasmus+ is a European Union program that encourages cooperation between higher education institutions and provides financial support for student and staff exchange. The primary goal of the program is to increase the quality of higher education in Europe and to strengthen the employability of university graduates in the business world.

Student Mobility

Within the scope of the program, our students can benefit from two main activities:

  • Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies: Allows students to study at a partner university in Europe for 1 or 2 semesters (3-12 months) and receive grant support during this process.

  • Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Traineeships: The process where students gain practical experience by receiving vocational training at an enterprise or organization abroad.

Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies is actively carried out in our program. The number of students benefiting from the mobility varies on a semester basis depending on partner university quotas and application demands. Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies processes are carried out in cooperation with the International Relations Office, the Erasmus+ Institutional Coordination, and the Departmental Coordination. Current announcements and promotional events regarding mobility can be accessed from our university's Erasmus Coordination webpage and the University's homepage. Furthermore, comprehensive information is provided by faculty members and the Erasmus Coordination Office during orientation meetings held for first-year students at the beginning of each academic year, and students' participation in these informational meetings is encouraged.

Within the framework of the inter-institutional bilateral agreement signed between Toros University and Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (Universitatea Alexandru Ioan Cuza din Iași), English Translation and Interpreting Program students actively benefit from Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies every academic semester.
