Within the scope of the Medical Imaging Techniques Program, a compulsory professional practice is implemented to enable students to develop their professional knowledge and skills in a real-world setting.
As part of the Professional Practice course, students are required to complete 70 working days of compulsory practical training in the 4th semester (spring term of the second year). This practice aims to familiarize students with the healthcare sector—particularly radiology and medical imaging processes—before graduation, to help them gain professional experience, and to enhance their theoretical knowledge through practical application.
During the professional practice period, students have the opportunity to observe and participate in workflows within radiology and medical imaging units of public hospitals and private healthcare institutions. They engage in areas such as imaging procedures, patient preparation and positioning, operation of imaging equipment, radiation safety, patient safety, and quality control processes, thereby improving their professional competencies.
Professional Practice activities are conducted in accordance with the regulations and under the supervision of the Vocational School’s Professional Practice Committee.
The application procedures, evaluation criteria, required documents, and report writing guidelines for Professional Practice are defined in the relevant Professional Practice Directive.
