Membership conditions are not required for our users. Toros University staff (academic, administrative), students and outside researchers are natural members of the library.

What Can You Borrow?

Reference sources, unbound issues of periodicals, unpublished theses and reserve books are not lent outside the library. Other materials can be borrowed within the framework of the determined rules (borrowing rules).

How Can You Borrow?

·      In order for users to borrow material, it is obligatory for the personnel to register with the library and with the faculties of the students.

·      Users must come with a university ID card.

·      Users can only borrow material with their university ID card. No transaction can be made with someone else's ID card.

·      Users with overdue items cannot receive new items without returning items and paying penalties.

How Can You Access Materials?

Our library collection is placed on the shelves according to the Library of Congress (LC) Classification System and an open shelf system is applied in our library. In this system, letters are used for main subjects.
There are scanning terminals in the library. The collection includes all types of library materials (books, periodicals, original theses, etc.) with author surname-name, publication name, subject, keyword, publisher name, etc. can be scanned using Scans can also be made by combining subject headings or by LC classification number.
The user first finds the material he is looking for from the computer records and checks whether it is on the user and whether there is an RZV note placed by another user. Undergraduate and graduate level education programs are organized to learn how to use the library.

Materials Not Available on the Shelf

If the material is not on loan and is not on the shelf where it should be, help should be sought from the relevant floor attendant. When the material is found by the floor attendants, the reader is notified by phone or e-mail. A "lost" note is added to the record of the material that has been searched for 15 days but cannot be found.

How to Reserve Materials?
If the material to be used appears on the loan in computer records, it means another user. If the return date is empty but the RZV number is displayed, it means that the item has been reserved for the user in the loan section.
In this case, apply to the Borrowing Department and reserve the material on your own behalf. The waiting period of the material in the loan section for the next user is 3 (three) days. Holidays are included in this period.
Material not borrowed during this period can be lent to the next user or sent to the place in the hall.
