In the Computer Programming Program, the measurement and evaluation process aims to assess students’ knowledge, skills, and competency acquisitions in an objective, transparent, and multidimensional manner. This process is systematically carried out to monitor the achievement level of program outcomes and to provide data for continuous improvement efforts.

Within the program, measurement and evaluation are structured to assess not only students’ theoretical knowledge but also their analytical thinking, problem-solving, software development, and practical application skills.

In each course, students are evaluated through midterm exams, final exams, quizzes, assignments, laboratory studies, project presentations, and practical assessments. Depending on the nature of the course, different and complementary assessment methods may be employed.

While calculating the final grade for each course, the weightings specified in the Bologna Information Package of the relevant course are taken into account.

In order to be eligible to take the final exam, students are required to meet the attendance requirements specified in the regulations.

A letter grading system is applied in the program. Grades AA, BA, BB, CB, and CC are considered successful, while DC and DD are considered conditionally successful. For a student to be deemed successful in a course with a DC or DD grade, a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 is required.

The results of measurement and evaluation are associated with program outcomes, and based on the obtained data, course contents, teaching methods, and assessment tools are regularly reviewed and updated.
