Curri̇culum

The Graphic Design Program curriculum offers a comprehensive and systematic learning process that prepares students for their professional careers through the strategic distribution of foundational, professional, and general education components within its 120-credit curriculum.

Core Courses: Comprising 25% of the curriculum (30 ECTS credits), the ‘core’ courses aim to provide students with the theoretical and aesthetic foundations of design during the initial phase of the educational process. Through courses such as Basic Art Education, Drawing, and Computer-Aided Graphic Design, our students develop visual perception, composition, and conceptual thinking skills, thereby laying the groundwork for the professional courses they will take in later semesters.

Professional Courses: The core of the curriculum consists of ‘professional’ courses, which account for 62% of the total curriculum (74 ECTS credits). Reaching its peak in the third semester with courses requiring direct industry expertise—such as Advertising Graphics, Industrial Graphics, Motion Graphics Design, and Graphic Production Techniques—this process is completed with a 30-ECTS “professional practice” course in the fourth and final semester. This course ensures that students can directly apply their theoretical knowledge in creative industries and acquire sector-specific competencies.

General Courses: To support students’ well-rounded academic development, 13% of the curriculum (16 ECTS credits) is allocated to ‘general’ courses. These components aim to strengthen students’ communication skills and social competencies.
