The Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Toros University adopts a structure based on strong institutional support and diversified financial resources in order to sustain its educational, research, and community engagement activities. Departmental activities are systematically supported through the university budget, Scientific Research Projects (BAP) funding, and externally funded project grants. Within this scope, BAP projects aimed at increasing the scientific productivity of academic staff are encouraged, and administrative as well as technical support is provided for project development, implementation, and reporting processes.
The department’s practice and research infrastructure is regularly updated to enhance the effectiveness of educational and scientific activities, and maintenance, repair, and improvement processes are supported through institutional resources. Laboratories and practice environments related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation are equipped with the necessary devices, equipment, and educational materials to support the development of students’ professional knowledge and practical skills. At the same time, the research infrastructure supports academic studies conducted at undergraduate and graduate levels and encourages interdisciplinary collaboration.
In line with quality assurance processes, the effective, efficient, and transparent use of resources is adopted as a fundamental principle. In this context, planning related to infrastructure, equipment, and human resources required for the sustainability of educational activities is regularly reviewed and improved within a continuous improvement framework. Institutional support mechanisms are evaluated in accordance with feedback from internal and external stakeholders and are structured in alignment with the department’s strategic goals.
The department aims to increase access to national and international research funding and encourages academic staff in this direction. In addition, students are supported in actively participating in project-based learning processes, scientific activities, and field practice, thereby contributing to their academic and professional development. This holistic approach strengthens the department’s quality assurance system and contributes to sustainable academic development.
