As a rapidly growing faculty, the Faculty of Engineering at Toros University follows an approach that encourages interdisciplinary and industry-collaborative teaching, research, and scientific studies rather than traditional engineering education. Our fundamental vision is to educate leading engineers who can produce solutions on a global scale, adhere to ethical values, and shape technological advancement. Through the programs offered in Software Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Civil Engineering, our faculty provides students with academic depth in accordance with international standards. With a contemporary, democratic, and student-centered educational philosophy, we enable our students to specialize in their areas of interest, placing interdisciplinary studies at the center of the curriculum.
Today, we continue to educate individuals who possess critical thinking skills, can collaborate effectively, and are capable of producing ethical solutions to humanity’s most important and complex challenges. As an educational institution, the Faculty of Engineering at Toros University offers a learning environment that encourages new ideas, collaborations, inventions, and innovations.
The most distinctive feature of our educational model is our “Intern Engineer” practice, which integrates theoretical knowledge with the dynamics of the professional world. In the eighth semester, we bring our students directly together with the industrial and service sectors, enabling them to gain professional experience before graduation. In this way, we cultivate engineers who have received a comprehensive and practice-oriented education. In addition, our extensive ERASMUS exchange network, along with double major and minor opportunities, provides our students with a global perspective and prepares them not only with technical competence but also as professionals who inquire, research, and think critically.
Our goal is to contribute engineers to our country who possess strong analytical thinking skills, are inclined toward teamwork, and adopt lifelong learning as a guiding principle. With the cultural and intellectual richness that comes with being a “city university,” we promise our students not only a diploma but also a well-equipped future.
