Professional Practice
Within the scope of the 3+1 education model implemented in the Dialysis Program, students complete three semesters of theoretical and practical education, followed by a final semester entirely dedicated to field practice. This model aims to reinforce students’ professional knowledge and skills in real working environments and to better prepare them for their careers.
As part of the program, students undertake a total of 70 working days of professional practice in dialysis units of affiliated healthcare institutions. During this period, students actively participate in procedures such as operating dialysis equipment, patient preparation and monitoring, supporting treatment processes, infection control, and ensuring patient safety, thereby gaining valuable professional experience.
The professional practice process is carried out through collaboration between the university and the healthcare sector, and students’ performance is evaluated by both academic supervisors and field mentors. This approach ensures that students effectively translate theoretical knowledge into practice, enhance their professional competencies, and increase their employability after graduation.
