Education in the Dialysis Program is carried out through an integrated structure of theoretical and practical courses aimed at developing students’ professional knowledge, skills, and competencies. Within the program, students receive comprehensive education in areas such as basic medical sciences, kidney diseases, dialysis methods, patient care, infection control, and healthcare technologies.
During the educational process, theoretical courses are supported by laboratory practices, skills training, and simulation-based activities to strengthen students’ practical competencies. In addition, within the scope of the 3+1 education model, students spend their final semester in the field, actively participating in dialysis units and completing a total of 70 working days of professional practice, gaining hands-on experience in real healthcare settings.
The curriculum is designed in alignment with the Turkish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TQFHE) and is continuously updated in line with developments in the healthcare sector and feedback from stakeholders. In this way, the program aims to enhance students’ professional competencies and to educate qualified healthcare technicians who meet the needs of the healthcare sector.
