Erasmus Coordinator for the Department of Architecture: Research Assistant Doğan Can TOPBAŞ
Erasmus Program is a European Union initiative that promotes cooperation among higher education institutions and supports the mobility of students and academic staff. Within the scope of the program, universities can develop joint projects, carry out student and staff exchanges, and receive non-repayable financial support for these activities.
The program aims to support the internationalization of higher education systems, enhance the quality of education, and strengthen the global competitiveness of graduates.
Erasmus is implemented primarily among European Union member states, as well as countries within the European Economic Area and candidate countries.
Student Mobility
The program offers two main types of student mobility:
- Erasmus Student Learning Mobility
- Erasmus Student Traineeship Mobility
Erasmus Student Learning Mobility
Students can study at partner universities for one or two semesters (3–12 months). During this period, they have the opportunity to experience different educational environments, become familiar with international architectural cultures, and continue their academic development at an international level.
Erasmus Student Traineeship Mobility
Within the scope of Erasmus traineeship mobility, students can gain professional experience in architectural offices, design studios, or related institutions abroad. This process contributes to their understanding of international working environments and enhances their professional skills.
Students of our department benefit from Erasmus learning and/or traineeship mobility programs every year.
