The Civil Engineering PhD Program, within the Toros University Graduate Education Institute, is a postgraduate program aiming to produce advanced knowledge in the field of engineering sciences and to train qualified researchers. The program offers opportunities for specialization in fundamental disciplines of civil engineering such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, hydraulic engineering, transportation engineering, and building materials engineering, enabling students to conduct original research.
The program adopts an educational approach that integrates scientific research and application, thanks to its strong academic staff, existing laboratory infrastructure, and interdisciplinary approach. Students develop skills in analyzing, modeling, and solving advanced engineering problems, while also gaining competence in publishing scientific papers and conducting research in accordance with academic ethical principles.
The program, which announced its first student intake for the Fall semester of 2023-2024, builds upon the academic foundation of the master's program and offers comprehensive training for both individuals aiming for an academic career and engineers seeking advanced specialization in the sector.
