Within the scope of the Child Development Program, there is a compulsory professional practice designed to enable students to develop their professional knowledge and skills in real-life settings.
As part of the Professional Practice course, students are required to complete a 70-working-day compulsory professional practice in the 4th semester (spring term of the second year). This process aims to help students gain professional experience, become familiar with the field of child development, and apply their theoretical knowledge in practical environments before graduation.
During the professional practice period, students have the opportunity to observe and participate in professional activities in institutions such as nurseries, kindergartens, daycare centers, and special education institutions. They engage in tasks such as observing children’s developmental characteristics, planning and implementing activities, organizing learning environments, communicating effectively with children, and supporting developmental processes.
Professional practice processes are carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations under the supervision of the Vocational School Professional Practice Commission.
The application procedures, evaluation criteria, required documents, and report writing guidelines for the professional practice are defined within the scope of the relevant Professional Practice Directive.
