"Workshop On Functional Materials Science And Engineering-2023" At Faculty Of Engineering

Toros University Faculty of Engineering hosted the Workshop on Functional Materials and Engineering.
Experts and academicians from many sectors participated in the workshop held at Mezitli Campus.
Making the opening speech of the workshop, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Adnan MAZMANOĞLU stated that functional materials are gaining more and more importance in the field of engineering. MAZMANOĞLU said, "This workshop brings together students and academicians of our faculty and industry professionals and offers the opportunity to discuss and share the role of functional materials in the engineering discipline." Prof. Dr. MAZMANOĞLU thanked Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Kemal HAVARE, the chairman of the organising committee of the workshop, and Dr. Lecturer Merve ÖZCAN, a member of the organising committee, for their great efforts in the preparation of this event. In the presentations made within the scope of the workshop, one of the invited speakers, Çukurova University ÇÜMERLAB Deputy Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doğan KAYA, presented "Exploring Functional Nanoparticle Design: Magnetic and Catalytic Compatibility" and Prof. Dr. Mahmut KUŞ from Konya Technical University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Chemical Engineering, gave high scientific level speeches on current applications of functional materials, their future potentials and their interactions in the field of engineering with his speeches titled "New Trend in Photovoltaic Cells: Perovskite Solar Cells". In addition, the panels, where innovations and developments in the sector were discussed, provided the participants with the opportunity to share experiences in an interactive environment.
At the end of the workshop, Prof. Dr. Adnan MAZMANOĞLU thanked the speakers for their contributions and presented them flowers and plaques. MAZMANOĞLU said, "Such events are extremely important in order to strengthen university-industry cooperation and to make our students more ready for the sector. We would like to thank all the contributing speakers."
Toros University continues to bring its students and academic staff together with innovations in the sector with such events in the field of engineering. The Functional Materials and Engineering Workshop was successfully completed by providing participants with both information sharing and networking opportunities.
