Trainee Real Estate Agents Received Their Certificates At Toros University

The 38 trainees who participated in the VQA Level-5 Responsible Real Estate Consultancy training organised in cooperation with the Federation of All Real Estate Agents (TEMFED), Mersin Chamber of Realtors and Toros University received their certificates at a ceremony held at Toros University.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Arıöz, TORSEM Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Metin Ocak, Vice President of All Real Estate Agents Federation of Turkey (TEMFED) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mersin Chamber of Realtors Mehmet Sinan Canpolat, sector representatives and trainees attended the ceremony held in the conference hall of Toros University Bahçelievler Campus.
Speaking at the opening of the ceremony, which started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, Mehmet Sinan Canpolat, Vice President of the Federation of All Real Estate Agents of Turkey (TEMFED) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mersin Chamber of Realtors, underlined that the trainees who are entitled to practice the real estate profession can step into the profession by applying to the Ministry of Commerce with their insurance declarations after the internship requirement of 6 months for university graduates and 1 year for high school graduates.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Arıöz took the floor after Canpolat and said: "As all universities in Turkey, we have three important duties. We want to bring the greatest possible benefit to Mersin province, this is our main point, but we have three different tasks, there are three different areas where we spend our energy. One of them is education and training activities. Perhaps the children, nephews or nieces of our guests who are among us, or perhaps they themselves somehow carry out educational activities at Toros University. Another important job is research and development. Our third task and job is to serve the community. Our community service platform is Toros University Continuing Education Application and Research Centre. The number of certificates we have given to the society through this TORSEM not only last year but the year before that is 2860, the number of certificates we gave the previous year was only 280, and the number of certificates we gave last year was 9500, which means that we have touched 9500 people through TORSEM. Somehow we came together and somehow we did something. This figure among the universities in Turkey in terms of quantity, there is no need to talk about quality, in terms of quantity, Sinan President and Metin Professor are extremely qualified in terms of quality, but in terms of quantity, the number 9500 is in the top ten among the universities in Turkey. Of course, in research and development activities, while we had 2 patent applications three years ago, last year we had 10 patent applications, this year the year is not over yet, but we have 38 patent applications, and there are 20 in the queue, and we will make them by the end of December, God willing. The number we think is in the top 5 in terms of the number of patent applications among universities in Turkey. These numerical figures tell us what we are trying to do and doing this job in good faith and in the right way."
After the opening speeches, certificates were presented to the trainees who successfully completed the Real Estate Consultancy Vocational Training. After the certificate ceremony, the trainees threw their caps in the campus garden.
