Toros University Ranked 7Th In Turkey In The Number Of Patents And Utility Models

Turkey's largest patent research report has been published. According to the report, Toros University ranked 7th in Turkey in the number of patents and utility models (excluding design) for 2023 with 26 applications.

In the thematic area of Food, Toros University ranked 5th in Turkey.

Analysis of published patent applications of Universities in Turkey As of December 31, 2023, there are approximately 7,275 patent applications* filed by universities and research centers in Turkey with their legal entities. Of the patent applications of universities and research centers, 2,346 (number of inventions) have been registered in at least one country and received a patent certificate. 98% of these patents are still legally valid (living patents) in at least one country.

Among the applications made to TURKPATENT by the Universities operating in Turkey to protect their inventions in Turkey, an analysis of the Turkish (TR) patent applications published and registered in 2023 was carried out and a Top 20 ranking was created.
