Toros University Gastronomy Students Achieve Great Success

Toros University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department students brought pride to their university by achieving significant rankings at the Gastro Antalya Intercollegiate Cooking Competition held at the Glass Pyramid in Antalya.

In the Turkish Cuisine category, Onat Kutay Abay, Cansu Yorgun, and Hasan Özel won first place, while Zeynep Azra Çol won second place in the Dessert category, Ataberk Fidandiken won third place in the Fish category, Furkan Genç won fourth place in the Main Course category, and Yiğit Eraslan won fourth place in the Pasta category.

The students who placed visited Toros University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Arıözü at his office. The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Prof. Dr. Uğurcan Akyüz, the Head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Prof. Dr. Bahar Taner, Lecturer İbrahim Ali Türkeş, and Research Assistant Nasibe Uluk were also present at the visit.

Lecturer İbrahim Ali Türkeş, who guided the students during the competition, shared their experiences and achievements with Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Arıözü. Rector Arıözü congratulated the students and academic staff and wished them continued success.

The awards won by the students of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at Toros University once again highlighted the university's emphasis on applied education.
