Toros University Cookery Students Stamped Their Mark on the VIth International Gastro Afyon Tourism and Flavour Festival
Toros University Cookery Programme students, Lecturer. Lecturer. Under the leadership of Uğurcan Metin, they achieved a great success at the VI International Gastro Afyon Tourism and Flavour Festival. The festival, held at Afyon Motor Sports Centre between 27-29 September, attracted attention as one of the important meetings of the gastronomy world.
While the students had the opportunity to put their education processes into practice at the festival, they achieved successful results by competing both individually and as a team in the International Universities Cooking Competition. İhsan Duru, Nisa Karşılayan and Yaren Genç won two gold and one silver medal, placing first and second in the competition. This success brought both Toros University and its students to a prominent position in the field of gastronomy.
The students, who came together with both local and international participants during the festival, had the opportunity to showcase their flavours with innovative dishes, while promoting Turkish cuisine in the international arena. This great success once again demonstrated the quality of Toros University's cookery education.
