Toros University 3Rd International Art Symposium Started

The opening ceremony of Toros University 3rd International Art Symposium, which will be held between 12 - 19 March 2024, was held by Toros University Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Arıöz, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture Prof. Dr. Uğurcan Akyüz, artists from different countries, academicians and many students attended the opening ceremony of the 3rd International Art Symposium held at the 45 Evler Campus Conference Hall.
Speaking at the ceremony, which started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, GSTMF Dean Prof. Dr. Uğurcan Akyüz said, "Like our previous workshops, I wish this event to be productive, socially strong and enjoyable. I firmly believe that we will achieve this goal with your contributions. I would like to thank you all for taking part in this workshop with a total of 22 valuable participants. We have spent a great deal of devotion and effort; we crowned the fruits of our work with a beautiful gallery named "Gülüm Özveren Art Gallery" in November. Our ultimate goal is to bring a museum to our university. This year we have enriched the content of our workshop even more; we aim to create an interactive environment with presentations and interviews. I would like to thank all my colleagues and artist friends who contributed to the organisation of our workshop."
Speaking at the symposium, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Arıöz said, "I am very pleased to have come together at the 3rd International Art Symposium organised by Toros University Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture. Art is a means of bridging cultures, deepening meaning and getting closer to each other. This symposium has been organized to further emphasize this powerful effect of art and to create a creative dialogue environment by bringing together artists from different disciplines. In the events that will take place throughout this week, we will have the opportunity to explore various aspects of art and have discussions that will enrich our world of thought and expression. The hosting of such events by our university plays an important role in supporting intercultural communication and artistic exchange. Dear artists, academics and participants, it is your valuable contributions that make this symposium even more special. We are here to talk about the universal language of art, generate new ideas and share aesthetic experiences. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the organisation of this symposium. I wish the participants a fruitful and inspiring experience throughout the event. Together, we are ready to step into a brighter future with the power of art, I wish you good work."
After the opening speeches, participant artist Ha Jung-yul made a presentation on "Universe Painting".
Following the ceremony held at 45 Evler Campus, the opening of the painting exhibitions of artists Han Young-sook, Kang Sook-hee, Han Jung-yul took place at Uray Campus, where the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture is located.
