Sfme-2025 Successfully Realized

The Symposium on Functional Materials and Engineering (SFME-2025) was successfully hosted by Toros University.

The Symposium on Functional Materials and Engineering (SFME-2025), hosted by Toros University Faculty of Engineering on May 23-24, 2025 at Mersin Divan Hotel, was an important academic event that brought together scientists and industry representatives from different fields.

The opening speeches of the symposium were made by Toros University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer ARIÖZ and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Adnan MAZMANOĞLU. In addition, Toros University Secretary General Nur ÖZVEREN, Advisor to the Board of Trustees Dr. Lecturer Besime Ahu KAYNAK, SHO. Prof. Dr. Besime Ahu KAYNAK, SHMYO Director Lecturer. Assist. Dilan SARPKAYA and academicians from the Faculty of Engineering were among the participants.

At the event, scientists, educators, non-governmental organizations and private sector representatives had the opportunity to share and discuss theoretical and practical knowledge on functional materials and engineering in a multidisciplinary framework. During the symposium, a large number of papers were presented and the papers were subjected to scientific peer review.

The extended versions of the papers that successfully passed the referee process will be included in the editor-reviewer evaluation process to be published in the October 2025 issue of TÜBİTAK DergiPark - Journal of Engineering and Basic Sciences or Journal of NanoScience in Advanced Materials (NANOSAM) journals upon the request of the authors. In addition, the selected papers will be published digitally as a proceedings book with e-ISBN after the symposium.

This meaningful organization hosted by Toros University received full marks from the participants and laid the foundations of new collaborations for researchers working in the fields of functional materials and engineering.
