“Patent Preliminary Evaluation Day” Held At Toros University

The Faculty of Engineering at Toros University organized an event titled “Intellectual Property and Commercialization: Patent Pre-Evaluation Day” with the aim of commercializing knowledge generated in the academic world and accelerating patent processes.

Held on April 6, 2026, in the Conference Hall, the event explored how university faculty members can protect their research outputs and contribute these innovations to the economy.

Strong Interest from Faculty

The program, which began at 3:00 PM, featured key presentations aimed at increasing the number of invention disclosures and strengthening awareness of commercialization. Assoc. Prof. Osman VİLLİ and Assoc. Prof. Osman DOĞUŞ GÜLGÜN from Toros University explained the technical and legal aspects of patent processes to participants and assessed the commercialization potential of academic projects.

The following critical topics were addressed during the event:
