Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Ariöz Participated In July 15Th Democracy And National Unity Day Activities

Toros University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Arıöz attended the commemoration programs organized in Mersin as part of the July 15th Democracy and National Unity Day.

The city protocol, families of martyrs and many citizens showed great interest in the events organized on the 9th anniversary of the treacherous coup attempt carried out by the FETO terrorist organization on July 15, 2016.

Within the framework of the commemoration activities, Rector Arıöz visited Mersin Martyrdom with the Provincial Protocol and families of martyrs, left carnations on the graves of our beloved martyrs and recited prayers.

In the evening, he participated in the “Democracy Watch” program organized in Cumhuriyet Square. Within the scope of the program, the meaningful speech of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on July 15 was followed on the giant screen in the square. After the speech, the citizens who filled the square sang anthems with enthusiasm and determination, and the Flag with the Moon Star was proudly waved in their hands.

The night also included band and mehter team performances, video presentations, poetry recitals and hymn recitals. The program ended at 00.13 pm with the salaahs recited in Cumhuriyet Square and throughout the province.
